Mike Benoit - The idea for this album was something that came to me one day listening to The Residents "Commercial Album" which is certainly one of my favorite albums by them. I thought the limitation of track time must have been a fun little challenge for them, fitting a whole song into a minute just as it was a commercial. I wanted to do the same with ambience and figured I would invite some friends along as well. This is the collected ambient commercials we have created for you. We thank you all for joining our broadcast, please sit back and enjoy the show.
Spicygod - I joined this project firstly because I love the Residents and also It could be a great way to test an idea I had.
The main idea was to use the same simple notes for all tracks created, using various sources and mixes.
Sevenism - My natural approach to music is long slowly shifting pieces. This project pushed me into doing more with less, and provided a welcome reset to think differently about what I do.
Insectarium - My first thought about this project was that it’s the punk rock of ambient releases, similar to the old punk albums like the Minutemen; short and to the point with no solos.
I approached this project with the thought, within a minute what would be “my sound.” I tried to compose each track utilizing aspects of sounds and noises I have arranged in the past. Here you will find ritualistic vocals, didgeridoo, remixed field recordings, noise, and straight up ambient keyboards. These 10 tracks span aspects of this vast genre and gives a brief glimpse into who I am as an artist. Join my colony at

Fabio Keiner - Many Minutes Of Eternity
Patient - 30 years of ambient music, in just a few minutes. It takes patience to be this Patient.
Scott Lawlor - When Mike approached me about this project, I was intrigued and since John Zorn is one of my inspirations, though it's probably hard to tell with a lot of my music, I remembered what he said about the challenge of compressing an idea into a small space of time. My tracks vary from ambient to a bit of industrial to solo piano.
